John Bradshaw, Nissan Skyline

Early stages with boot floor and many other internal panels removed, basic chassis tubes in place, axle dummied up in final location and four link bars in place.
Details of Pro Mod style funny car cage combined with roof braces. The floor was removed so a complete frame could be installed then the floor replaced with sheet metal.
Looking backwards at a mass of tubes to provide the stiff back end necessary when running in the low 8 second bracket.
Wheel tubs and interior tin-work partly installed.
Engine compartment showing most of the inner wings removed and replaced with lighter metal and braces back to the main cage. Tubular sub frame to mount the engine and steering rack. Motor plate mounted but not yet trimmed to size. Strut front suspension in place with fabricated wishbones partly finished.
A view from above just before the Skyline left the workshop with fuel cell, battery and parachute mounted. Compare this picture with the one at the top of the page to see how much work has gone into this.
The car on John's trailer leaving the workshop looking very racey if a bit high at the front with no engine fitted.
Car in its final form with the engine fitted.  Seen here outside the workshop after final suspension setup.

First outing at Rotorstock 2007 yielded a personal best at 8.539/161.39.

This Warren Mason picture shows the car in action at Santa Pod. See more of Warren's work at www.warrenmason-photographic.com
