One of our worst meetings
ever since we didn't qualify for eliminations. It certainly wasn't "red sky
at night, Andy's delight"

First run we wrecked the
gear box. The picture shows the damaged sprag, the broken sprag support in
three pieces and the trashed clutch plates. Second run we didn't spin the tyres in the burnout, rather the clutch slipped and got so hot that it didn't slip at the launch, result was instant tyre shake and an aborted run. |

Our third and final run came to an end when the starter motor wouldn't turn. Subsequent investigation showed that two out of four brushes had broken springs . The picture shows two good springs, with long tails, and four broken ones. |
