Racing - History

Here are just some of the cars Andy used to race under the RRC banner, and before that Street Elite Racing. Click here to see an article, originally prepared for 440 Magazine, which describes the early days.

First race car. Ford Zephyr, one piece front, AMC power, Transit front axle, Ford 9 inch rear. Raced in Street classes.

First complete tube frame car built by ARRC.

Andy raced in Doug Grey's Camaro after the Monza was sold and he was building his next car.
One time crew member now Web Master helps Andy burn out.

First Pro Mod car, the only two door Sierra Sapphire on the planet(?)

 

468 cu inch BBC with NOS Fogger kit. Brodix ally heads, twin 1050 Dominators on Holley Pro Ram manifold. 4 speed Lenco and ARRC built Ford 9 inch axle. Strange front struts.

Seen here in second paint job. Best figures 7.78 and 178 mph.

Rover 800 coupe, Pro Mod version. Numerous innovations including push-rod rear suspension, blade anti-roll bar.

Shown here in original paint job.

Dominated class for two years winning championships in 97 and 98.
Car eventually wrecked in top end roll at Avon Park during 99 season. Decision made not to rebuild.
